Dr Nalbandian has completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons) in 1983, Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) in 2000 at University of Sydney and Masters in Prosthodontics with distinction at prestigious King’s College, University of London. Dr Nalbandian’s professional memberships include:

Dr Sarkis Nalbandian has extensive experience in dental implant reconstruction and implant technology. He had dual training in both implant surgery and implant supported crowns, bridges and dentures, as well as in reconstructive dentistry, comprising all aspects of cosmetic dentistry and complex dental restoration. He has a wealth of experience in implant surgery, prosthodontics and application of composites and porcelain for treating simple to complex dental functional and aesthetic problems. Among his patients are prominent personalities of the political, diplomatic, business and artistic world.

He is an experienced clinician in prosthodontics and implant surgery. He has placed and restored over 1000 dental implants. This is a large referral practice for dental colleagues in the field of implant surgery and prosthodontics. He was one the first dentists in Australia to employ the techniques of microdentistry, piezosurgery in everyday practice. He has incorporated safe, simple efficient concepts of every aspect of piezosurgery in his practice, especially where difficult implant placement is anticipated.
Dr Sarkis Nalbandian was the first dentist to demonstrate the effect of cosmetic dentistry combined with plastic surgery on facial rejuvenation. He appeared on A Current Affair in 2001 and in 2005 evaluating the efficacy of over-the-counter tooth-whitening products compared to professionally delivered systems.
He is in private practice in Sydney, limited to aesthetics, prosthodontics and implant surgery.

Dr Andy Hsiau
Dr Andy Hsiau received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at University of Sydney in 2000. Upon graduation, Andy practiced dentistry in the Sydney CBD, Crows Nest and Lane Cove until 2003 when he joined the team at Designer Smiles.
Dr Hsiau’s special interests are long-term preventive dentistry and children's dentistry. In 2005, Andy received his Master of Dental Surgery (COHE) at University of Sydney, specialising in public oral health. His thesis focused on the survey of 3000 NSW primary school children. Recommendations from his study were integrated into the oral health planning of the NSW Health Department.
Dr Hsiau also focuses on the restorative areas including general cosmetic dentistry and all areas of family dentistry. Andy is committed to continuing education in order to ensure he provides the best and most currently available treatments.
Dr Tauhida Hussein
As Clinical Coordinator
Tauhida Hossain has successfully completed the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Dhaka Dental College, Bangladesh in 1985. She arrived in Australia with her husband Dr Hyder Ali in 1994.
Tauhida has joined our team as a clinical coordinator and is responsible for the overall running of the practice: implementing practice protocol and patient care.
